This Privacy Policy explains how SyntrofAI ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform and services (the "Service"). We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service well.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name and email, handled through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign in with Google or GitHub.
Billing information — processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Workspace data — the prompts, tasks, and outputs you create while using your workspace.
Usage data — basic technical logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, process subscriptions, provision your workspace, communicate with you about your account, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Your AI provider keys (BYOK)

If you connect your own third-party AI provider key, it is encrypted and used solely to operate your own private workspace. We do not use your keys for any other purpose and they are not shared with other customers.

4. Data storage & security

Each customer runs in an isolated workspace. Data is encrypted in transit, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

5. Third-party services

We rely on trusted providers to deliver the Service, including authentication (Clerk), payments (Dodo Payments), and infrastructure/hosting partners. Each processes data only as needed to provide their function and under their own terms.

6. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. After cancellation, your workspace and data may be retained for a reasonable period to allow reactivation, then deleted. You may request deletion sooner by contacting us.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use them to track you across other sites for advertising.
